Creating Massive Internet Radio was by far one of my most in-depth projects I have ever taken on. It all started with me having one of those moments where you have an idea pop in your head, now do you just sit and say that's a good idea or do you stop everything at that moment and get the ball rolling. So I thought about it and decided that I needed a logo. I used Logo Creator 5 browsed, many templates until I found one I liked and tweaked it until it was something I liked.

The next step was to register a domain name and there are plenty of options to use when registering one. So as an avid TV watcher and since their marketing and commercials made me remember them I decided to use http://www.godaddy.com/. Quick and easy I was able to register http://www.massiveinternetradio.com/. I opted to purchase some extras that would help my domain get more exposure. Next step was creating the website. Now we all know there are several options when doing this. You have web developers, website templates, etc. I decided to use a website that walks you through the process of doing it yourself. http://www.wix.com/ is an awesome site that literally walks you through everything. They have the best customer support team and they don't rush you on the phone. They actually complimented me on the website I created, made me feel like I was on the right track. Not to knock websites like WIX.com but I am not a fan of long URL's like http://www.yourwebsite.theirwebsite.com/ that's how they advertise at your expense when you use their site to create a webage. I paid a few bucks just to use my domain name which is fine with me. All it says on the windows tab is Wix.com . . . which doesn't bother me.
So I created a bomb website its up and running, and I am happy with all the work I've done. Since I am creating a Radio Station I have a few more steps like finding software for the radio station, and streaming my mixes (audio files), or going LIVE on air for you to enjoy. So for software I am using Sam Broadcaster 4. As a DJ I already had the music to load into the stations music library. Thanks to my 1TB Seagate Hard drive I had 75,000 mp3's ready. Using SpacialNet.com to host my streams (also the creators of SAM Broadcaster 4) made it easy especially with a complimentary Radio Station listed on AudioRealm, Massive Internet Radio was good to go. Oh yeah and for my visual friends and future listeners we are set up on Ustream and broadcast LIVE as well (links are on the MassiveInternetRadio.com's Radio Page.
With all this being said I forgot to tell you one thing. I had a Social Network Moment. Like Mark Zuckerberg Creator of Facebook, I stayed up one night and did this all. So with the idea popping in my head around 3pm March 10th, 2011 Massive Internet Radio was up and fully running by 12 noon March 11th. I want to thank a pot of Cafe Bustello for giving me the energy to get this done. Now like most companies I get on the website and tweak everyday making changes so that it is user friendly. This is my first Blog and we will be having guest bloggers to come. Thank you for visiting Massive Internet Radio.
